I thought this was going to be a caveman movie, but it does take some unexpected and biblical turns. Michael Cera (how could you not laugh at him) and Jack Black are a pretty solid team.
It’s been said Jack Black isn’t the best actor, and I partially agree. However, there are oscar winning professionals who struggle at comedy. Jack Black can consistently deliver the punchlines, and that’s something.
Sure, he’s been in some cheese, but it’s hard to look down on hard working actors who can check their pride to keep getting gigs. He won’t be catching up with Nicholas Cage any time soon though…
